Permanent make up, also known as PMU, semi-permanent makeup, micropigmentation and cosmetic tattooing is a safe method of applying pigment into the dermal layer of the skin which is designed to gradually fade over time.
Unlike the epidermis, your top layer of skin, which is constantly shedding, the dermis is a stable layer of skin, just below the epidermis.
The pigment is implanted superficially using a tattoo machine, although the effect created is not that of a traditional tattoo, which is implanted much deeper into the skin and shouldn’t be confused with permanent makeup.
Tiny pixels of colour are deposited into the dermis, through a variety of different techniques depending on the desired outcome.

No, this is not microblading.
Microblading is a manual method of implanting pigment to brows using a blade. This method causes trauma and scarring to the skin tissue and is only suitable for certain skin types.
The machine method we use will create a similar hairstroke effect, without the tramua.

This varies person by person, dependent upon your skin type and lifestyle.
Permanent makeup is designed to fade over time. Trends change, we change and we want to be able to easily change our Permanent Makeup in the future.
Generally, brows will require a top up after 12-18 months and will usually have disappeared after 2 years.
The fading process is heavily influenced by lifestyle and environmental factors, including sun exposure and the use of SPF, as well as the use facial treatments like retinoids and AHAs.
